SCD Chocolate Nut Butter Bars

Bottom Layer: SCD Nut Butter Bar

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 c. almond flour (or your favourite nut flour)
  • 1 c. unsweetened shredded/dessicated coconut
  • 1/2 c. nut butter
  • 1/3 c. honey (or maple syrup if you can tolerate)

Steps:

  1. Mix in bowl
  2. Press into a 9x9 pan
  3. If not adding chocolate topping, place in freezer
  4. Once frozen, cut into squares and store in freezer.

(Optional) Top Layer: Chocolate Topping

The top layer is optional for those strictly following SCD and avoiding cocoa.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 c. coconut oil
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp honey (to sweeten - adjust to your taste liking)

Steps:

  1. Melt in saucepan.
  2. Pour over nut butter base.
  3. Place in freezer
  4. Once frozen, cut into squares and store in freezer.
