SCD Chocolate Nut Butter Bars
Bottom Layer: SCD Nut Butter Bar
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter (melted)
- 1 c. almond flour (or your favourite nut flour)
- 1 c. unsweetened shredded/dessicated coconut
- 1/2 c. nut butter
- 1/3 c. honey (or maple syrup if you can tolerate)
Steps:
- Mix in bowl
- Press into a 9x9 pan
- If not adding chocolate topping, place in freezer
- Once frozen, cut into squares and store in freezer.
(Optional) Top Layer: Chocolate Topping
The top layer is optional for those strictly following SCD and avoiding cocoa.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 c. coconut oil
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tsp honey (to sweeten - adjust to your taste liking)
Steps:
- Melt in saucepan.
- Pour over nut butter base.
- Place in freezer
- Once frozen, cut into squares and store in freezer.
