Recently Young Buck stabbed a man on camera at the Vibe awards. So when getting into this latest G-Unit release, I expected gangsta grimy and that's what I got. Straight Outta Ca$hville is filled with thug-related themes talking about guns, killing, hoes, and drugs. 'Shorty Wanna Ride' has a bangin beat making this one of my favorite songs of the year, but unfortunately is complete devoid of lyrical content. The vocal sample on 'Bang Bang' had me mesmerized waiting for it every time. David Banner & Lil Flip add some southern-fried gully on 'Welcome to the South.' Ludacris drops a tight verse on 'Stomp.' Young Buck's choruses aren't as catchy as 50 Cent's, but they're pretty close. His lyricism doesn't provide any new inspirational insight, and the beats simply serve their purpose. If you're looking for a hard thug album, filled with gangsta ghetto themes, then Straight Outta Ca$hville is a good investment. You just have to be prepared to enjoy it for what it's worth.
