Flow 93.5 Hot Wax features some of the past year's top R&B hits. Unfortunately this doesn't make for a mixtape you'd find me bumpin in my stereo. In fact, I'd feel a little bit embarrassed. Flow 93.5 Hot Wax is aimed at R&B fiends - mainly teenage girls. It features slow-footed R&B hits like Tyrese's 'How You Gonna Act Like That', Jaheim's 'Fabolous' and Nivea's 'Laudromat.' The highlight of the mix is definitely the last three songs, all of which are upbeat party starters. The Clipse's 'When The Last Time' remains one of my favorite songs of last summer. Busta Rhymes' 'Call The Ambulance' features Rampage and makes for a potent joint reminiscent of when they hooked up on 'Wild for da Night.' Finally, Toronto's Rochester aka Juice sizzles forward with the blazin 'Do It (Like We Do It).' I was also fortunate enough to get the Retro-Wax Bonus CD. This was a true treat as it contained six classics including Kool & The Gang's 'Ladies Night', Bel Biv Devoe's 'Poison' and Chic's 'Good Times.' The mix also included pop R&B hits like Keshia Chanté's 'Shook,' In Essense's 'I.E.' and Wayne Wonder's 'No Letting Go.' If you're looking for a mixtape featuring a nice mix of predominantly hit R&B songs aimed to add romance to your relationship, then Flow 93.5 Hot Wax is for you. However the mix also provides a nice compromise for all those guys out there looking to please their girl, but also enjoy a few hot rap songs.
