If Missy Elliott's latest release is only considered to be Under Construction, then I can't even fathom a fully constructed album. On Under Construction Missy rewinds to an old skool fun flavour, while adding hot verses from the likes of Ludacris, Jay-Z and Method Man. She also earns respect by taking the time to spread powerful, mature and understanding messages about the current state of hate in hip hop.
The Timbaland produced album yields several funky gems including the hot 'Slide,' the first single, 'Work It,' and 'Gossip Folks.' Missy even skillfully reworks Method Man's 'Bring the Pain.'
Missy Elliott is once again able to create a fun and innovative party album. In fact, the heat from this album likely helped Missy sweat off a few of those pounds she's lost.
