After a series of weak No Limit Records' albums, CEO Master P took a break. The result according to Mean Green on "Commercial I" is "the real ones, they still there. The fake ones, they gone." It's a simple change that needed to be made and hopefully it will help put No Limit music on par with the rest of the rap scene. That being said, the long-awaited 504 Boyz' album is impressive. The beats are original and appealing. The lyrics are at times catchy and sung with feeling. Master P seems to rebounded well from him dismal last album. In fact, he appears on the majority of this album's tracks. Other performing No Limit artists include Silkk The Shocker, Snoop Dogg, Mystikal, MAC, C-Murder, Mercedes and Krazy.
Some of the better songs are "No Limit", "Roll, Roll", "I Can Tell" (taken from Mercedes' album), "Beefing", "If You Real, Keep It Real", "Wobble, Wobble", and "Them Boyz".
This album was not amazing, but it was impressive. I feel Master P has finally come to his senses and taken the time to please his loyal soldiers (fans). If you enjoy Master P's gangsta dry style or the No Limit flow, then this album is a must get.
